2Face, Others Panic On Aborted Aero Flight

THERE was panic aboard Aero Contractors Flight Aj2002 from Lagos to Douala Friday when passengers, including Innocent Idibia (2Face) allegedly discovered that one of the doors was slightly open 30 minutes after take-off.
It was learnt that an angry passenger who did not want his name mentioned said that passengers had finished taking their refreshment on-board the aircraft when a signal came that a door was not properly locked and therefore they should return to Lagos.
While stating its own account, Aero Contractors’ company through its consultant, Mr. Simon Timbu said the aircraft Friday afternoon ‘made an air return as a result of sensor alarm noticed by the flight crew.’

The full statement of his reaction reads: “Our flight AJ 2002 flying between Lagos and Douala this (Friday) afternoon had an air return as a result of a sensor alarm noticed by the flight crew in the flight deck. Following strict safety standard procedure our flight crew decided to abort the flight. The problem had been fixed and we are awaiting Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) approval to commence use of the aircraft
