Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal: Rampant Reds' five-star drubbing hits Gunners title hopes

Four goals in the first 19 minutes set up a resounding Liverpool win as Arsenal self-destruct on Merseyside
An incredible start from a rampant Liverpool side saw the hosts plunder four goals in the first 19 minutes at Anfield to serve a huge blow to Arsenal's title hopes.
It took less than 90 seconds for the Reds to take the lead, when Martin Skrtel slotted home an excellent Steve Gerrard free-kick from close range to give Brendan Rodgers' men the perfect start.
The home side had doubled their lead before the ten-minute mark and it was the same Gerrard-Skrtel combination, with the centre-back this time heading home the Liverpool skipper's corner.
A shellshocked Arsenal were then completely undone when quick-fire strikes from Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge saw the Reds find themselves 4-0 up with less than 20 minutes played.
Arsene Wenger's men looked afraid to commit themselves forward, such was the intensity and fluidity of Liverpool's counter attacking play.

Sterling added a fifth five minutes into the second half when he slotted home after seeing his initial effort saved by Wojciech Szczesny.
Arsenal finally got on the scoresheet when Mikel Arteta blasted home a penalty after Gerrard felled Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the area, but it did little to lighten Arsene Wenger and the Gunners fans' mood.
