Man caught carrying 18 human heads in a sack

A man was arrested after he was caught with eighteen human heads, police in Nigeria said.
Ogun State Police said that they have arrested 38-year-old Adelani Ayomide, after being caught at the side of a road carrying the human heads.
Ayomide of Ilaro, was arrested at 6:48 a.m. on Thursday, when police spotted him dragging the large sack that contained the heads. Police have launched an investigation into the origin of the heads, and charged are still pending.

Last November, a man was arrested after police found 36 human skulls in his possession, according to police reports in Burundi. Bujumbura Police said that an Italian man working in the country, has been formally arrested after police discovered 36 human skulls in his home while executing a search warrant.
Police confirmed on Sunday, that the discovery was made after searching the home of Giuseppe Favaro. Favaro has been in prison since October, after being caught trying to export two human skulls to Thailand. Three other accomplices have been arrested by the police.
Police spokesperson Helmenegilde Harimenshi said that the authorities are surprised by this discovery. “It’s the first time we've had such a thing. Even anthropologists did not do this kind of thing for a long time,” Harimenshi said.
Favaro, who has lived in Burundi for the past 10 years, has been dealing in human skulls, buying them for $50 each before selling them for $300 each. Interpol was helping investigate why Favaro sold the skulls to Thailand.
Police said a package containing two skulls was discovered recently at Bujumbura Airport, which was registered under a false name.
