House Urges Army To Relocate HQs to Borno
The House of Representatives has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to immediately relocate the headquarters of the Nigerian Army to Maiduguri, Borno State to curb the series of attacks resulting in many deaths in the State recently.
The House, resolved that this action would enable the Chief of Army Staff to be in touch with the reality of the situation and motivate him to devise ways of properly tackling the matter.
Equally, the lower chamber appealed to the Federal Government to explore bilateral security arrangements with Chad, Niger Republic and Cameroon on how to tackle the activities of the insurgents around the border areas.
