Chelsea release Eto’o, Lampard and Cole

According to the official Premier League, the trio of Frank Lampard, Samuel Eto’o and Ashley Cole, have all been released by Chelsea.

The list which contained all 20 Premier League clubs and the players they were letting go, does not necessarily mean that Lampard and Eto’o have left Stamford Bridge, as they could yet sign new deals. However, they are all free agents technically.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho recently offered John Terry a new deal recently and there were speculations that Lampard would get one too, with Cole the most likely to leave.
