First wash your hands to avoid any infection and then check if some object is embedded in wound. If yes then first remove it. After removing the same, give a continuous pressure on wound with the help of bandage or a clean cloth for 15 minutes. Then maintaining the same pressure bind the wound tightly. If blood continues to flow then give an immediate call to ambulance and don’t leave the affected person alone.

Asthma which can also described by the word “panting” is caused due to some environmental factors or it may be genetic. If someone is feeling difficulty in breathing or his/her nail beds and lips becomes grey or blue colored then he is going through an asthma attack .Coughing may also be one of the symptoms. Now the best way to deal with this is first make them sit comfortably and let them to take puff of reliever inhaler. Tell them to breathe slowly. If the inhaler has no effect till 5 minutes then give an immediate call to ambulance.
3. How to deal with shock?
Shock is life threatening, it occurs when body is not getting proper blood circulation. Lack of oxygen and severe burns may also be two of the reasons. But the question is how you come to know if someone is going through shock or not. Some signs like fast breathing, pale or grey coloured face, yawning will indicate that the person is having shock. If these things are happening then firstly loosen any tight clothing, lay them down and don’t give them anything to eat. Call for an ambulance and monitor the condition. Don’t leave the person alone till emergency service arrives.
4. How to deal baby with choking throat?
Babies can’t speak, can’t express their problems. So how to deal when baby is having some problem? Chocking is very common in the age below one as baby is just learning how to chew and swallow .Food or anything else may go wrong way . So if baby’s throat is chocked just lay the head down and try to give some back blows. Check if something is coming out of mouth. Try to clear blockage. Wait till the emergency medical service arrives by constantly giving back blows to baby. If back blows are not working then place two fingers in middle of baby’s chest and push inwards and outwards. Constantly check if something is coming out of baby’s mouth. Continue the process till ambulance arrives.
5. How to deal if someone is having fits?
Fits which are commonly called seizures causes involuntary changes in body movements followed by unconsciousness. Initial signs of fits can be identified if person’s body becomes rigid, followed by rolling eyes and staring expressions on his/her face. What will be your first step if someone is experiencing fits? Firstly give an immediate call to ambulance. Protect them from harming themselves. Do not let them take any sharp object. Be aware of not giving them anything to eat or drink .And Wait till the ambulance arrives by not letting the affected person alone.
6. What to do if someone had an electric shock?
It is often called electrocution which is most severe accident one can experience. It may be caused when one touches any electrical equipment with wet hands. Faulty wiring may also be one of the reasons. Everybody used to take precautions before using such items. But what if the accident occurred? What will you do if someone next to you experiences a severe shock? Firstly give an immediate call to ambulance. Check if the person affected is still in contact with current source. If yes, then don’t touch them. Just turn off electricity at mains if reachable. And then try to push person away with the help of some non conductive material like wooden stick. Put your efforts and wait for emergency service to arrive.
7. How to prevent choking?
What if the food goes down wrong way? What to do if you are unable to swallow? The initial sign of choking appears when the person experiencing the same is unable to breathe and speak.
At this time you just need to encourage the affected person to clear the blockage. Give some back blows to him/her with the help of your hand heels. If the whole treatment is not working then bend the person forward by keeping your both arms around his/her waist.
Put your fist below navel and check if some object is coming out of mouth. If it is not working then give an immediate call to emergency medical service. Be aware of not performing this in the case of pregnant women.
8. What to do if someone has stopped breathing?
What will you do if someone has stopped breathing? For this you need to perform a CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) .Firstly you need to check if the person is unconscious. If yes, then call ambulance before performing CPR. Now what exactly you have to do is keep your one hand on the center of chest and another on the top. Two chest compression should be done within a second. Now tilt back the patient’s head putting your hand on his/her forehead, pinch his/her nose and blow into person’s mouth. Be careful while performing chest compression in the case of children under age of one. Use two fingers instead of hand for the same task. Blow air two to three times until any emergency service arrives.
9. How to deal if someone is having a stroke?
Stroke happens if the supply of blood to the brain is suddenly disrupted. It is an acute neurological injury. But how would you be able to know if someone is having stroke? Person who has a stroke experience some FAST signs like severe headache, loss of consciousness, difficulty swallowing, sudden blurred, double or reduced vision in both eyes. The first thing which you need to do is lay the person down with shoulders and head elevated slightly, keep his/her chin slightly extended. Call ambulance immediately. Till then do a CPR if he/she is not breathing well and do not permit him/her to move. Above are some of the steps you can take before medical treatment can be accessed.
10. How to deal when someone has a heart attack?
What should we do in event of heart attack before arrival of some emergency service? How shall we be able to cope up with this? Before it is too late, there may be only few minutes. So what you need to do is first check if the person having persistent chest pain which is spreading to his/her arms, jaw, neck, stomach or back. If yes then give an immediate call to ambulance and before its arrival make sure that the position is comfortable for them like make him/her sit on floor or lean against a wall .If there is no history of aspirin allergy to them then make them chew 325 mg aspirin slowly. Don’t leave them alone till ambulance is reached.
