A twenty one year-old young woman, Fauziyya Sulaiman was on Weekend strike dead in broad day light by police man on guard in Unguwar Rimi, Kaduna.
The girl whom lived with her family in Badarawa abode was up until her demise a Dental Counseling student at the School of Science and Health Technology, Kaduna.
She was presumably fired dead by a watch officer Ahmed Usman linked with the state security unit, Operation Yaki. The lady was basically reported to be looking forward to a commercial tricycle at a bus stop around 5pm following attending the marriage ceremony of her close friend when she was fired dead by the police, according to information from Daily Trust.
The police superintendent Ahmed Usman attached to the guard squad purportedly launched fire on the young woman. The bullet reportedly went through her intestines thus hitting another person called Malam Hassan in the leg.
Late Fauziyya’s daddy, Alhaji AbdulRazak Muhammad Sulaiman whom resides in Badarawa Kaduna said the family was emotionally vulnerable and at a loss as to why a police officer whom ought to defend his girl child ended up murdering her. He was quoted saying the mother of the dead Amina Mohammed was still being dumb smacked and “utterly puzzled.” Sulaiman, who works with the Kaduna State Ministry of Education promised to take court action against the police force.
He explained when he visited the Military Orientation clinic where her little princess was transported to; among the cops on guard informed him that she was fired by an superintendent who had been in the patrol team. “I decided to go and met the inspector having a name tag showcasing Ahmed Usman and questioned him why he murdered my child, but he couldn't speak. He finally opened up that he shot her by accident,” he explained.
The police spokesperson in Kaduna Aminu Lawan validated the occurrence. He stated Fauziyya was struck by a stray bullet which was shot by the patrol squad. He explained the officers tried to disperse some careless motorbike bikers inside the wedding party ground. “But youths started throwing small stones towards the cops before they shot. The girl was struck by the bullet as well as one other individual suffered slight injury,” Lawan reported.
