Oputa to be flown abroad for medical treatment

Strong indications emerged yesterday that the former Chief Judge of old Imo state and Supreme Court Justice, Chukwudifu Oputa may be flown abroad for medical treatment.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, who visited the retired Judge yesterday in the company of the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Benjamin Uwajumogu, said that the state government had concluded plans with the Oputa family to fly him abroad for further medical treatment as soon as possible.

"As a great citizen of this country and Imo State, he deserves the best and the state is totally committed to that and all expenses will be taken care of," Okorocha stated.
